If you love Jesus, you are on the right road

Many people who see The Passion of the Christ come away feeling that they have been changed forever. This is as it should be. Jesus said, "If I be lifted up (on a cross), I will draw all men to me."

Still, the effect of the movie could wear off. And unless a person's heart is changed from the inside out, the pressing cares of life will gradually choke out the new seeds of life that were sown the night we saw the Savior.

The first question many people will have is: "What should I do? What CAN I do?"

If you love JESUS, the road will be difficult.

The answer, given by all Bible-believing churches, is true and simple: Accept Jesus as your savior. Acknowledge your sinful nature, and ask Jesus to forgive your sins, and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

The next steps are equally simple, at least on the surface: As Jesus put it, "Take my yoke upon you and learn of me." "If a man love me, he will keep my commandments, and my commandments are not grievous."

Read God's word, walk in Jesus' footsteps. Sounds easy. But all experienced Christians have learned that the way is, as Jesus put it, is very "narrow" indeed. Being a Christian, a true follower of Jesus, is not easy; it is a life work.

Though being a Christian is the only life work that results in true riches, the only life pursuit that leads to true happiness, and the ONLY way any human being can reach the goal of eternal life -- it is still not as simple as saying, "Yes, Lord, I believe." As Jesus put it, many people, at his return in the time of judgment, will claim that they have done many wonderful things in Jesus' name; but the Master will not give them the reward they seek.
